Teresa Brewer
Biography
Teresa Brewer is an operating advisor and strategic communications executive with more than 20 years experience in leading some of the world's most influential and disruptive brands through hyper-growth. Teresa specializes in guiding founders, CEOs, and Boards through transformative growth, reputation management, and IPO readiness.
Teresa has held leadership roles at top organizations like Roblox, SurveyMonkey, Apple, and Sony. As Vice President of Corporate Communications at Roblox, Teresa worked closely with the CEO and leadership team to execute a $45 billion direct listing. At SurveyMonkey, she transformed the brand from a consumer survey tool into a $2 billion SaaS enterprise, leading its successful IPO in 2018. Teresa also held pivotal roles at Apple, where she contributed to the growth of the iPhone business, which came to represent 60% of Apple’s revenue, and played a key role in establishing the app economy through the launch of the App Store. Earlier in her career, she spearheaded the launch of the PlayStation 2 at Sony Computer Entertainment America, a console that became the best-selling in history with 155 million units sold worldwide.
Known for her strategic foresight, Teresa excels at identifying and mitigating risks, particularly those tied to public perception. With expertise in crisis management, she is renowned as a "canary in the coal mine" in boardroom discussions, providing authentic, measured strategies to protect and elevate brand reputations.
Teresa holds a BA in English and Speech Communications from James Madison University. She lives in Menlo Park, CA, and occasionally in St. Helena, CA, with her husband and two sons. A former soccer player and avid runner, she has completed two marathons and is contemplating a third—all while eagerly awaiting the next season of Ted Lasso.
