Talha Tariq

Biography

Talha Tariq is an operating advisor at Bessemer with over 20 years of experience building and scaling security programs from startups to Fortune 100 organizations.

Currently, Talha is the chief security officer & SVP technology at HashiCorp, a cloud infrastructure and security company. In his current position, Talha oversees the security, technology & data engineering teams and has spearheaded the development and modernization of a cloud first security program, as well as the technology and data platforms.

Prior to HashiCorp, Talha served as chief information security officer at Anki & FinancialForce, and has held various security leadership positions at PwC and Microsoft. Additionally, he has led a variety of engagements around the world, advising clients, across a range of industries, on matters related to significant sensitive data breaches, intellectual property thefts, hacking events, forensic investigations, security program development, security operations, threat and vulnerability assessments. Talha currently advises and serves on the board of several security and technology companies.

Aside from his professional engagements, Talha’s passions include photography, traveling, JiuJitsu and soccer. Talha possesses a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Master's of Science in Information Security, both earned from Royal Holloway, University of London.
