Payal Sobti

Biography

Payal Sobti is an operating advisor and a product strategy expert with extensive experience in high-growth startups, specializing in marketplaces, fintech, consumer, and B2B SaaS. Payal collaborates with portfolio leaders to drive success in critical areas, including organizational development, strategic product roadmapping, optimized pricing strategies, and identifying opportunities for adjacent market expansion.

Currently, as Head of Product Development at ResQ, a Series A company offering restaurant back-of-house SaaS and a marketplace for trades service companies, Payal leads the development of a growth-focused product roadmap.

Previously, Payal was a founding team member of Uber Eats, where she helped build Uber’s first merchant-facing products. She also played a key role in launching Uber One product globally, scaling the subscription service to 10 markets and over 3 million subscribers in its first year. Following her time at Uber, Payal served as Director of Product at Cash App, overseeing its international expansion into the UK and Canada, while leading key product roadmap decisions and driving pricing and adjacency strategies.
Payal holds a BA in Economics, Statistics and South Asian Studies from University of Pennsylvania. Payal lived in San Francisco for most of her tech career and is now based in Miami where she is building a team for ResQ.
