Mike Gozzo

Biography

Mike Gozzo is an operating advisor at Bessemer and the Chief Product & Technology Officer at Ada, where he guides the development of the world’s first autonomous AI agent for customer service automation by leading the company's AI/ML research, engineering, product management and design functions.

A distinguished entrepreneur and angel investor, Mike is known for pioneering advancements in AI, digital communication, and customer experience technologies. In 2014, he co-founded and served as CTO for Smooch.io, an omnichannel messaging platform which was instrumental in revolutionizing business-consumer messaging and was eventually acquired by Zendesk in 2019. At Zendesk, he excelled as Senior Vice President of Product Management, managing global product and R&D teams. 

Early in his career, Mike was recognized as one of Quebec's top emerging entrepreneurs. He is an active mentor to Canadian technology entrepreneurs and currently supports Canadian charities focused on education and elder welfare through his family's foundation. Mike earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University and obtained his MBA with a focus on Finance and Strategy from the John Molson School of Business.

Aside from his professional engagements, Mike enjoys cycling, food, and spending time with family. He is also an active angel investor, focusing on early-stage startups, particularly in Canada, where he supports new ventures with funding and guidance.
