Kellie Capote

Biography

Kellie Capote is an operating advisor at Bessemer who brings two decades of experience as a leader in customer success and go-to-market strategy. In her current role as Chief Customer Officer at Bonterra, Kellie leads customer success management, professional services, support, and customer engagement programs.

Kellie has a proven record of driving customer growth, retention and reference-ability through building trusted advisor relationships and driving measurable business outcomes for customers. She is deeply passionate about customer success being the growth engine of an organization.

Most recently, Kellie was the Chief Customer Officer at Gainsight where she was responsible for leading all post-sales functions which includes a team of 400+ globally across customer success management, account management, support, professional services, digital and scaled programs, and CS operations. She spent nearly 8 years at Gainsight helping to scale and grow the CS organization and company from ~$40M to $200+M in revenue. During her tenure, she worked with thousands of CS professionals and customers to help advise and coach them on their CS strategy.

Kellie has recently become a published author of the book “Digital Customer Success: Why the next frontier of CS is digital and how you can leverage it to drive durable growth.” She believes that the next frontier of customer success will leverage intelligent and personalized digital experiences to create a more effective customer experience while driving increased productivity for the business.

Prior to Gainsight, Kellie has spent her career in customer-facing roles spanning across sales, account management and customer success, with a background in HCM at ADP. She has found her forever home in customer success at the intersection of what she is energized by most - forging prosperous customer relationships through value realization and cultivating professional growth for teammates.

Kellie lives in Austin, TX where she is a proud wife and mother to two daughters, Brynn (12) and Brooklyn (10). She also deeply loves her three mini bernedoodle “fur babies”, Ollie, Colton and Myla.
