Karen Lee
Biography
Karen Lee is the Vice President of Marketing at Bessemer Venture Partners where she leads brand initiatives and integrated marketing strategies for the firm. She is currently a board member for the Bay Area Women Sports Initiative, a nonprofit that brings together female athletes to coach and inspire young girls and students with disabilities.
Prior to venture capital, she was the Director of Digital Strategy and Services at Stanford University for the Office of Development and Associate Director of Digital and Social at Stanford Graduate School of Business. During that time, she focused on audience growth, alumni engagement, and elevating Stanford’s thought leadership around the world. She’s held previous roles in marketing and digital strategy helping startups and Fortune 500 companies.
A California native, Karen traveled abroad to Middlebury College where she received a B.A. in Psychology and played Division 3 basketball and intramural water polo. Her hobbies include running, swimming, and family excursions with her husband and two children.
