John Drake

Biography

John is an investor based out of Bessemer’s New York City office where he focuses on consumer internet, vertical software, and marketplaces.  

Prior to joining Bessemer, John was on the software team at Volition Capital, a growth equity firm in Boston focused on investing in high-growth and founder-owned technology businesses. He started his career as an investor at Motivate Venture Capital, a seed stage venture capital firm in Chicago.

 John earned his B.A. in economics from Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, hiking, and cheering on Toronto and Buffalo sports teams.
