Biography
Jessica Popp is an operating advisor at Bessemer and Chief Technology Officer with over 25 years of experience in engineering, scaling exponential growth, and navigating roadblocks in tech enterprises. She has a track record of accelerating progress in product quality, team development, and organizational functionality.
Jessica's early career at enterprise companies, including Capital One and Intel, helped hone her scaled execution, global team management, and leadership skills that she then brought to earlier stage companies and startups such as SendGrid where she was Senior Director of Engineering and Twilio where she was VP of Engineering leading Flex, Twilio’s CCaaS product. Jessica departed Twilio to become CTO at Ada, a Series C GenAI platform for customer support.
Currently, Jessica is SVP Engineering at Rula, a healthcare platform with a mission to make mental healthcare work for everyone. She leads Engineering, Security and IT at this growing Series B company.
Jessica holds a master's degree in Decision Sciences and a BBA with a concentration in Information Systems. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Apart from her professional engagements, Jessica is an active board member of the HDF Group, a non-profit ensuring equal access to science and engineering data. She is passionate about servant leadership and DEI and has made these major focus areas throughout her career.
