Aparna is an early stage investor in the Bangalore office where she focuses on cloud software (enterprise & SMB), internet marketplaces, and ML platforms. She is eager to find companies which have South Asian roots and ambitions for the global market.
Prior to joining Bessemer, she was a lead data scientist and product manager at Salesforce’s Infrastructure Analytics team in San Francisco. She also worked at Alcatel Lucent on transmitting internet data over cellular networks. Her research on Wireless Sensor networks has been published in IEEE & Springer.
She holds an M.B.A. from University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated as a Beyond Yourself Fellow. She also holds a Master’s in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIITDM, Jabalpur.
Aparna loves the outdoors, especially hiking and bouldering. She is a trained singer in Indian classical music.
