Bessemer Venture Partners promotes Lindsey Li to Vice President
Lindsey’s independent thinking and strong relationships have made her a trusted sounding board to entrepreneurs in AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, and gaming.
At Bessemer, intellectual honesty underpins our investment decisions and the counsel we provide to founders—building trust requires the courage to ask hard questions and challenge popular opinions. In this spirit, we celebrate the promotion of Lindsey Li to Vice President. Since joining the firm’s analyst program in 2019, Lindsey has boldly pursued contrarian roadmaps and built enduring relationships with entrepreneurs in multiple sectors.
Lindsey exclusively focuses on early-stage investments (Seed through Series B) across enterprise AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, and gaming. During her time at Bessemer, she has sourced seven investments and joined the boards of Voxel51 and Seam AI. Lindsey also serves as a Board Observer and/or works closely with the teams at Manychat, Basis Theory, TRM Labs, TSM, Aghanim, Gamefam, and OwnPlay.
Over the past five years, Lindsey has contributed to multiple innovative roadmaps, including the macro trend of solopreneurs as well as infrastructure and gaming opportunities within crypto. Lindsey spearheaded Bessemer’s Steel DAO initiative, which created a platform for on-chain, community-driven deal sourcing in crypto and web3. The DAO has evaluated 300+ companies to date resulting in four early-stage startups funded by Bessemer.
“Lindsey’s tenacious work ethic and ability to see around corners amid different waves of innovation make her an invaluable partner to the entrepreneurs we back,” shares David Cowan, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “Her intellectual honesty and conviction exemplify the Bessemer ethos.”
"As investors, we only succeed if we remain both optimistic and humble about what the future may entail," says Lindsey. "I search for those same qualities in the founders we work with, and I’m constantly reminded at Bessemer to balance deep research and healthy skepticism with a bright enthusiasm to back the new solutions that’ll help build a better society.”
Before her career in venture capital, Lindsey graduated magna cum laude from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied finance and management with a minor in psychology. She previously worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys participating in sketch comedy (as an audience member), going to Broadway musicals, and reading. She is also involved in the non-profit Gold House as an advisor to early-stage entrepreneurs in their accelerator program, focused on promoting Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) representation and excellence across technology and venture capital.
