Bessemer Venture Partners promotes Alexandra Sukin to Vice President
Championing entrepreneurs of all stripes, Alexandra leverages her deep curiosity for emerging technology trends to back visionary founders in consumer, SMB, and vertical software sectors.
At Bessemer, our commitment to developing and supporting the next generation of investors has been a cornerstone of our success throughout waves of technology. In this spirit, we celebrate the promotion of Alexandra Sukin to Vice President. Since joining the firm's analyst program in 2019, Alexandra has demonstrated a keen ability to uncover compelling investment opportunities and build strong relationships with entrepreneurs across multiple sectors.
Alexandra primarily focuses on investments in consumer, vertical software, marketplaces, and application-layer AI. Today, she serves as a board observer at Avant Arte, Cambly, Curri, GlossGenius, Onaroll, Unito, Upside, and WiredScore. Alexandra has also led research for consumer and AI roadmaps, including the rise of curation as online social capital and intelligent search.
One of Alexandra's most notable investments was Truebill, a personal finance management platform. After cold-emailing the CEO in late 2019, Alexandra shared the company with partner Kent Bennett, leading to Bessemer's $17 million Series C investment in early 2020. Rocket Mortgage acquired Truebill in 2021 for $1.275 billion.
"Alexandra's curiosity, creativity, and commitment to uncovering exceptional founders and companies make her an invaluable member of our team," shares Jeremy Levine, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. "Her ability to identify and leverage emerging trends, coupled with her passion for supporting entrepreneurs, exemplifies the qualities we look for in our investors."
"I love the process of uncovering underlying trends in markets and technology, and researching how companies can leverage those trends to build products that have an outsized impact on society," says Alexandra. "My advice to founders is to never stop experimenting, whether it's on new product features, distribution strategies, or anything else. The best way to accelerate your company's trajectory is to keep innovating and trying new things."
Before joining Bessemer, Alexandra was a fellow at Learn Capital and was an undergraduate Venture Partner at Contrary Capital during her undergraduate studies. Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys skiing, hiking, running, and the arts. She is a member of the National Arts Club, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting public interest in the arts and educating the American people in the fine arts.
