Maren Hopkins
Biography
Maren is a principal at BVP Forge, which is the unique combination of a private equity firm for growth-oriented, self-sustaining businesses paired with access to BVP’s renowned venture platform.
Prior to joining BVP Forge, Maren was a vice president at Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, a multibillion-dollar growth equity fund focused on B2B Software. While at Bain Capital, she executed 6 investments in high growth software companies, serving as a board member and partner to management teams to support strategic initiatives.
Before joining Bain Capital, Maren worked in Morgan Stanley’s technology group in Menlo Park. Earlier in her career, she was a product manager at Microsoft managing New Product Introduction for various new product launches.
Maren graduated with honors with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.
In her free time, she can be found logging powder days on the mountain, training for her next triathlon in Marin, or taste testing the newest bakery in San Francisco. She also serves on the Next Gen Board of the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco and is an avid supporter of high impact Women in STEM initiatives.
